Tribute to Perkin

I made this in Photoshop, using various Filter Forge effects.  The Art Deco motif is stock from:  :Consigned-2-Oblivion: 

The title refers to Sir William Henry Perkin, an early chemist who, while still a teenager but also a college student, created the first synthetic aniline dye, which he called "mauveine" from its purple color.  The fashion world made great use of textiles dyed with this substance, making the 1890s the "Mauve Decade".  March 12, 2018 is Sir Perkin's 180th birthday.

This design features mauve and gold, Art Deco and the more modern Pop Art.
